Hello, I'm Dona Corbett

Registered Veterinary Nurse & Pet Loss Guide

With more than 35 years as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in emergency medicine, general practice, hospice, and palliative care, I've walked alongside thousands of families and their beloved pets through every stage of life — especially the later chapters.

I know how heavy this time can feel. Questions about your pet's comfort, quality of life, changing needs, and how best to care for them at home are completely normal. Many owners also wonder how to prepare for the final days or weeks while honoring both their pet's dignity and their own wishes.

My role is to support you as an experienced veterinary nurse and guide — not as a veterinarian or grief counselor. I help pet parents:

  • Better understand and read their pet's daily comfort signals
  • Provide thoughtful, practical at-home care that supports their veterinarian's recommendations
  • Navigate quality-of-life decisions with more confidence and clarity
  • Create a more comfortable environment for their aging or seriously ill pet
  • Feel more prepared and less overwhelmed during this tender season

Whether you're facing a sudden decline, managing a chronic condition, or thoughtfully planning ahead, I offer compassionate, practical guidance grounded in real veterinary nursing experience. My goal is to help you give your pet the best possible care and comfort at home while honoring the strong bond you share.

I'm truly glad you've found your way here. Take what you need, move at your own pace, and know you don't have to figure this out alone.

With compassion and understanding,

Dona Corbett
